Scholarships for Local Students

Every year, dozens of local students in the OC and IE areas attend Penn State. The chapter offers an opportunity to win scholarships. Our endowed scholarship at Penn State allows us to award $10,000 or more annually. Past scholarship winners include two current chapter board members, a LinkedIn account director, and a documentary writer, director, cinematographer, and emergency physician. 

Students will receive an application in their Penn State email account. Our Scholarship Chair normally sends them out in June. Parents should encourage students to apply.  Contact us if your son or daughter has not received an application. We don’t always get the correct email addresses for our students, and the applications could end up in their spam. 

Every year, a team of local alumni attends college fairs at high schools in the OC and IE.  In the spring, there is an Accepted Student Reception. In the summer, there is a Student Sendoff.

Fun Fact! Our chapter was the first to reach a $100,000 endowment thanks to the generosity of our members.
